Tektology relevance to modern sciences

Tektology is a term used by  Alexander Bogdanov to describe a discipline that consisted of unifying all social, biological and physical sciences by considering them as systems of relationships and by seeking the organizational principles that underlie all systems. Tectology is now regarded as a precursor of systems theory and related aspects of synergetics. The word "tectology" was developed by Ernst Haeckel, but Bogdanov used it for a different purpose.

Bogdanov's Tektology represents a unique contribution to the field of organizational theory and practice. It is a general organizational science which is concerned with universal structural regularities, general types of systems, general laws of their transformation and the basic laws of organization of any elements in nature, practice and cognition. The paper outlines the basic concepts of tektology and provides some pertinent facts about its author and his other related works. It also offers an explanation for an unusually long period of neglect of tektology by contemporary scholars and indicates the relevance of tektology to modern generalizing sciences.

Cardiac Rhythm Management

Heart rhythm disorders are managed in a number of ways, including medications, pacemakers, implantable defibrillators, invasive electrophysiologic procedures and biventricular pacemakers. PeaceHealth St. Joseph Medical Center’s electrophysiology program uses sophisticated computer technology with advanced 3-D mapping. It is one of only a few such systems in Washington state.
